1. Met a guy in Las Vegas

2. After midnight on New Years Eve

3. Who lives in another country

4. Got into a political debate

5. Bought him a drink

6. Went back to his room

7. Left my number without him specifically asking

The Result

1. A text from him within fifteen minutes saying he missed me already

2. Another one saying he can’t wait to see me again

3. Reassurance when I wrote back saying, “I hope you’re serious”

4. An email when I got home asking if I would be up for a visitor in New York sometime soon

5. A phone conversation the following weekend

6. A memory of a great night even if nothing ever comes of it
