One of Morning’s Few High Points

I love those first few moments of waking up before I’ve glanced in a mirror. You get to remain convinced that your hair doesn’t stick straight up in the air, that there is no smudge of make-up that somehow didn’t make it off after washing your face last night, and your pillow has lost its uncanny ability to draw lines down the side of your cheek. This is especially easy if you’ve just come off a dream looking like your most fabulous version of yourself.

A project like this would totally ruin it for me.

  1. ha ha ha… the lines on the side of my face from the pillow are taking longer and longer to fade in the morning…or wait? maybe those lines are becoming permanent wrinkles….
