Since it seems to be a bit of a blogging rite of passage, I’ve decided to tackle the ubiquitous “100 Things About Me” list. Lucky for you, I’m breaking it down into manageable chunks of twenty at a time, in an attempt at always leaving them wanting more, and because even I don’t think I’m that fascinating.
1. I am completely aware that I will have more fun writing this list than most people will have reading it.
2. I am a fraternal twin.
3. I never know how to answer when people ask me what it’s like to be a twin. That’s like me asking, “What’s it like to not be a twin?” It’s all I’ve ever known, so to me it’s normal.
4. I used to ask my parents to make up long division problems for me…for fun.
5. I think that kissing in the pouring rain is one of the most romantic images in the universe.
6. I’m absolutely fascinated by most aerial phenomenon- lightning, shooting stars, sunsets, etc.
7. I’m incredibly indecisive. I seriously pursued at least seven majors in college, including dance and political science, but remained undeclared well into my junior year.
8. I graduated with a degree in business because my best friend convinced me that no matter what I ended up doing, it would have to be a business in order to make any money.
9. I’ve traveled in nine countries on two continents and have about 800 to go.
10. I can speak a little bit of both French and Greek, and even less Spanish.
11. The Spanish I know was all learned from the kitchen staff while working in various restaurants.
12. I moved to New York City with no job and no place to live.
13. I wasn’t the least bit scared because I knew, worst-case scenario, I could always move home and that wasn’t necessarily a bad option.
14. I have dyed my hair every naturally occurring color on the planet except pitch black.
15. I look absolutely awful as a platinum blonde and had to wear so much make-up to keep from looking washed out that I felt like a prostitute.
16. I prefer Coke to Pepsi, Sprite to 7-Up, and vary between diet and regular depending on my mood and eating habits.
17. I straighten crooked pictures in public places because they drive me crazy.
18. I consider anything before 10:00am early. 10:00-11:00am is pushing it.
19. I’ve realized in just the top 20 that I have a hard time writing one fact without a follow up sentence to further explain myself.
20. I attribute this to an undying desire to be understood and clarify what I really mean.

I prefer Diet Pepsi to Diet Coke.
…tastes less chemically damaging.

Oh! I loved this list….I feel like I know you just a little bit more. Looking forward to the next twenty.
Um….but you really used to ask your parents to make up long division problems for you…for fun?
I black out at the thought of anything mathematic.

Yes Meleah, I am a confirmed, out of the closet geek. My best friend and I also used to stay after school asking the teachers if they needed any help. I’m lucky I didn’t get beat up!

Of course I don’t mind! I’m far from the first to undertake it, and imitation is certainly flattery in my book

I love these posts.
I did one and stopped at 50 because I bored the hell out myself with my “revelations”.
20 at a time seems like a better idea.
Anyway, my aunts are identical twins, and my boyfriend is a fraternal twin, although they look identical.
Everyone always seems to think it is the most fascinating phenomenon on the planet, and he gets asked at least once a day what it’s like.
I told him it must be nice to know what you look like to everyone else.
Although then you lose out on playing the “Is that what I look like?” game with your friends.

I’m also incredibly indecisive, I guess that’s why we had so many different majors! Can you imagine me now, trying to find a masters program? I’m actually leaning towards an MBA, guess for the same reasons your friend suggested.
